Mot Buchanan is an American Illustrator and Cartoonist born and raised in North-East Ohio.
Mot’s style of illustration was shaped by his studies at Kent State University where he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and Illustration. His desire to illustrate allowed him to focus on storytelling and humor in his work.
The common themes you’ll see in his illsutrations will be pop culture figures, creatures, and hopefully a hint of the joy that he has while creating the artwork.
His early influences were the masters of the comic strip page like Bill Watterson, Frank Cho and Mike Mingola.
His work has appeared in print and online and he is currently working on developing a long form graphic novel.
In his day job he assists individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities in creating their own artwork.
In his free time he likes to work on comic and illustration ideas. His goal is to always try ad tell a story with his artwork, and to hopefully make the viewer smile.
When not working on art he likes to spend his time with his wife and two Chihuahuas
